St. Patrick’s Day
TUE Commemorating Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. A public holiday in Ireland, Saint Patrick’s Day has become a celebration of Irish heritage and culture around the world. In the USA, many Americans wear green and enjoy parades, parties and beer.
Patrick was a 5th century missionary who brought Christianity to Ireland and combined the celtic sun symbol with the Christian cross to create the celtic cross.
